The wildlife garden is an area alive with bugs, bees, lizards and birds. There’s a tiny pond and if you’re really quiet on a sunny day you may spot a lizard or slow worm soaking up the sun. An old apple tree grows along the wall, it has the most delicious apples and there’s also a bendy fig tree.
Our hedgehog house is the ideal spot for the resident hedgehogs to stop over after a night exploring. At the very far end of the garden there is a rustic bug hotel which I’m sure in the bug world is a 5* trendy place to stay.
Our Conservation Walk is an area that is constantly developing and we are planting new shrubs and trees to make this area a serene and a relaxing place to read a book, have a picnic or just take in the view. If you have any fabulous ideas, be sure to pop us an email on [email protected] with your suggestions.
Our secure dog walking area is a pawfect project and we’re planning on adding agility equipment along with a few comfy benches whilst your pooches run free. There are buckets of tennis balls and Frisbees if your dog likes to play fetch. Don’t worry if you’ve forgotten to bring doggie poo bags, we’ve an emergency stash. There are native grasses in this area we are encouraging to grow in the sandy soil such as marram grass.
This is the most awesome spot in The Park, you can see across the valley. The goats have a wonderful time up there. If you check with the Grounds team, you can help walk them up to the quarry. The quarry is a great place to spot some magnificent bird life such as the peregrine falcon, ravens, and so many more.
